LEGISLATIVE POWERS, GOVERNMENT OVERSIGHT, AND IMPLEMENTATION OF THE EUROPEAN INTEGRATION POLICY BY THE PARLIAMENT OF GEORGIA

National parliaments play an important role in the European integration process. Parliaments are main law-making bodies defining policies, and on other hand, parliament oversights implementation of these policies by government. This article discusses practice the Georgian Parliament's legislative activity EU issues, forms of government oversight on integration policy, powers Integration Committee Parliament, the forms of reaching a multi-party consensus integration affairs. The shows that Parliament Georgia focuses more activities is weak field government oversight on the European issues. These findings increase our understanding of the role of parliaments in candidate countries where often the executive power dominates process policy European affairs.
